Sprouts? or Microgreens?

And now… we have a new product to announce to you!  Sprouts!  If you’ve been a microgreen customer, you know that microgreens are harvested at a very young age when just the cotyledon and first true leaf are emerging.  Sprouts are even younger.

Both microgreens and sprouts are nutritional powerhouses. Microgreens boast higher levels of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, but sprouts also provide a wide array of vitamins and minerals.

Where microgreens add a symphony of flavors, sprouts add texture and crunch.  Sprouts are typically higher in protein than microgreens and have active enzymes which aid in digestion.

Both sprouts and microgreens can be added to salads, sandwiches, wraps, or … anything (avocado toast, burgers, eggs, grilled anything,… the list goes on!)  Microgreens might be a better choice to up your flavor and presentation game where sprouts add a fresh, juicy crunch.

So, rather than choosing between microgreens and sprouts, considering adding both of these nutritional superstars to your diet for diversity in flavor, texture, and nutrition.
